Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village: 20 miles from the Sheraton

Stand by “the Man”. Look for the Stan Musiel statue, a favorite meeting spot for local Cardinal Fans. It stands on the west side of Busch Stadium. Musiel played 22 seasons with the St Louis Cardinals and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1969. Nearby Ballpark Village is a great place to park and stop for refreshments with multiple restaurants and bar choices.


Gateway Arch: 22 miles from the Sheraton

You can simply stop and take a photo, or you can spend some time and take a ride to the top and visit the museum on-site. There are some excellent tips for planning your visit on their website and you can purchase tickets online.

Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour: 22 miles from the Sheraton

Where can you learn how beer is made and get a free sample? At one of the largest and oldest breweries in the US: Anheuser Busch Brewery. “Nestled in the historic Soulard neighborhood of St. Louis, our largest and oldest brewery site was selected based on its access to the Mississippi River, the large presence of German immigrants in the 1800’s, and the natural cave formations that were used to store beer prior to artificial refrigeration.”

Brewery tours on Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm. 

Topgolf:  15 miles from the Sheraton

Topgolf sports entertainment complex features an inclusive, high-tech golf game that everyone can enjoy. Paired with an outstanding food and beverage menu, climate-controlled hitting bays and music, every Topgolf has an energetic hum that you can feel right when you walk through the door. Their patented technology allows you to track your golf ball and accurately score each shot based on the target it enters. Reservations recommended. Topgolf is located near the Outlet Malls in Chesterfield.

Missouri Botanical Gardens, 17 miles from the Sheraton

The 79 acres of splendid horticultural display at the Missouri Botanical Garden offers something for everyone. Outstanding displays include the Chinese GardenEnglish Woodland GardenOttoman Garden and Victorian District. A vibrant tropical rainforest thrives inside the Climatron conservatory, while the adjoining Temperate House is home to a multitude of Mediterranean species. The Japanese Garden covers 14 acres, making it one of the largest Japanese strolling gardens in North America. Open daily 9 am to 5 pm. Admission $12

Forest Park:  12 miles from the Sheraton

Forest Park covers 1,371 acres in the center of St Louis. That is 450 acres larger than New York’s Central Park. Forest Park was the site of the 1904 World Fair. There are many local attractions inside the park: The Zoo (free) , History Museum (free), Art Museum (free), Science Center, Boathouse Restaurant, Muny Theatre, Golf Courses, Tennis Courts, Skating Rink, scenic walking trails. 

Casinos: 

Hiking/Walking/Biking, 2 miles from the Sheraton

Nearby Creve Coeur Lake Park has many options. Walk around the lake on a paved path, hike the dirt path through the woods and enjoy the fall colors or rent a bike and use the same paths. You can rent kayaks, canoes, paddleboards or bicycles at the park.
